Member of the Month JULY 2017

 

Our Member of the Month for July is Kate!

Kate is a busy mum of 4 that spends most of her day running around after her little ones. But when she does have free time, she spends it in the gym! 
 
How long have you been at ETC?
I joined the ETC in Feb, my old Bootcamp instructor decided to change career, so I had to find somewhere else to train. We had been bringing one of kids to the ETC’s kids classes at the end of last year and thought we would all join back up. It had such a friendly energy and I love the fact you can still see the old factory fixtures in the walls and roof.
 
Which class do you frequent and why?
The kids were doing the kids classes, however once soccer season started we dropped them (but will be back with the kids at the end of the season!) I go to Jim’s 6am HIIT class and have just started the 6am Boxing class which I really enjoy. As much as I hate getting up early, it’s the only time of the day I have for me with the kids soccer training 3 nights a week… Between them and swimming lessons! Also, if I don’t go training I feel I’m more grumpy than usual.
 
What’s your favourite thing about training at the ETC?
I love the friendliness of the whole place which you don’t always get from a gym. I also enjoy that the classes are challenging and feel I’m much fitter than when I first started at ETC.
 
What has been your biggest challenge in regards to your fitness?
My biggest challenge is eating right and not snacking after the kids have gone to bed.
 
What are your current fitness goals?
My current fitness goals are to lose the baby weight and strengthen my core.
