Geelong Muay Thai | Ultimate Legends Results

Well it’s safe to say that Ultimate Legends was a hit for the Main Event Fitness Crew! We had Johnny, Jacob. Matt and Pete (from the Elite Training Centre) fighting for the night and it was fantastic to see so many supporters come along to cheer on the crew. Owner Johnny was the main event for the night and came away with a win, after 2 years out of the ring, Johnny knew he was going to have to be in peak condition to be at his best so he sought some professional help from the guys at Oceandina Rehabilitation and Health Clinics for his diet.

As many of you know, he also took a 3 week training trip to Thailand at Sitsongpeenong Muay Thai in Phuket, he trained extremely hard and got his cardio and fight fitness back… While managing to drop a whopping 14kg in the prep! Johnny “The Jew” Bourke was to fight a veteran of the ring with over 40 professional fights from Perth, Trevor Loomes. As he made his way to the ring the cheer from the crowd was overwhelming, and he came away with a win!

Matty “Big Pipes” Wilson made his pro debut, and as always Matt was training hard in the lead up to this fight. On fight night Matt was nervous, as every fighter gets before stepping into the ring, but as always he switched on quickly and started off great! Matt showed heart and fought it out well but unfortunately lost his fight on points. He’s taking a little break but is already asking to get another one shortly and we are extremely proud of him.

Then we had Peter “Bulldog” Davenport who is Johnny’s new business partner and co owner of ETC. He was fighting kickboxing rules and again after some hard training and making weight, it was fight time! Peter normally fights MMA style so it took him a round to adjust and find his rhythm in kickboxing. But eventually, he won the title! We are all so proud of Pete, and he is already in talks for the next bout in October. Also fighting was the (self-proclaimed) “crowd favorite” Jacob “The Whippet” Bennett who had a long prep as he was preparing for another show before Ultimate Legends that got canceled. Jacob also sought help from Oceandina Rehabilitation and Health Clinics. As creature of habit, as soon as the first bell went Jacob was on the attack and putting together some great combos – doing everything he’d been told to do. He eventually picked up a unanimous points decision win.

We’d like to thank everyone that came along to the fight and supported our boys! Stay tuned for upcoming fights.
